How do new engagements typically begin?

Most begin with a confidential introductory conversation, either by referral or through the inquiry form. We will tell you plainly whether the matter is a fit for the practice — and, if it is not, we will endeavor to introduce you to counsel who is.

Do you accept walk-in retainers?

Rarely. Engagements are accepted on a considered basis, weighing the matter, the parties, and the practice's ability to give it the attention it deserves.

What is your conflict-check process?

A conflict search is run before any substantive discussion. Nothing you share in the initial exchange is discussed internally beyond what is necessary to complete the check.

How are fees structured?

Fees are quoted at the outset of the engagement, most often on a fixed or capped-hourly basis. Retainers apply to standing advisory relationships. We do not bill for internal administration.
